The world's leading Agile Project Management certification

The certification was developed by the Agile Business Consortium as a trusted and scalable methodology which delivers results. But AgilePM is much more than a project management framework. It will help you understand agile techniques such as MoSCow prioritisation, iterative development and timeboxing, but most importantly it's also a philosophy which unites teams.

Will AgilePM certification help me get a job?

Getting a professional certification will help your CV stand out. You can put the digital badge on your LinkedIn profile and add it to your CV. An APMG certification is an immediately recognised brand by many Fortune 500 companies.

Why is AgilePM used by so many organisations?

More organisations than ever before are choosing agile over traditional waterfall project management approaches because they need to be able to adapt quickly in order to remain relevant. Today we live and work in a fast paced environment so organisations need a flexible approach to develop new products or services and improve then in iterative stages to meet user needs.

Waterfall approaches are suited for projects with well-defined deliverables. All of the planning is completed at the start of the project and any out of scope features cannot be added.

Agile project management uses an iterative approach by encouraging a small start from strong foundations and adding features according to business or market needs.

AgilePM always centres upon the user needs and recognises the input of everyone in the business who creates value.

Is the AgilePM® Foundation exam hard?

As long as you have studied the AgilePM® guide you will be prepared to take the exam. You only need to read section one, Chapters 1-12 (Pages 1-59) of the handbook to study for the AgilePM® Foundation exam.

The AgilePM exam is which is a 50 question multiple choice format. You will need to get at least 25 questions correct to pass the exam and become certified.

You will need to study section two of the handbook to pass the AgilePM® Practitioner exam.

Do I need to be a project manager to do AgilePM?

You do not need any prior project management experience to study for AgilePM, nor do you need a degree or any specific qualifications. Getting certified is a validation of your competence to contribute to, or manage projects using a widely recognised framework.

Why is it good for organisations to undertake team training?

AgilePM is a philosophy which helps colleagues think in the same way towards a common goal. If your organisation is managing projects using different terminology it can be confusing what the overarching strategy is. A common framework and approach can bond teams and break down silos. Agile project management is more than a framework - the underpinning philosophy encourages teamwork, accountability and collaboration.
